Friends of the Somerville Library | Volunteer Kick-Off
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 7:00 PM (EDT)
Somerville, United States
Please join us on the evening of Wednesday, March 21st to get involved with the Friends of the Library group and support all branches of the Somerville Public Library. Come talk to current volunteers and meet the board members that run the Friends. We need book sorters, those interested in fundraising, social media and marketing, and suggestions of your own.
The Friends provide funds for the popular Museum Passes program, license fees for movie screenings, co-sponsor Somerville Reads, and more so the Library can offer a variety of children's, young adult, and adult programs which range from puppet shows to poetry readings. Earlier this year we sponsored Jef Czekaj to paint the electricity box in-front of the library. Great job!
