Friends of the Ridgewood Library welcomes Ridgewood's own Harlan Coben in conversation with Madeline Miller.

About this Event

All New! Live Virtual Format! Friends of the Ridgewood Library 31st Author Luncheon will look a little different this year and will happen online via Zoom. We look forward to resuming our in-person Author Luncheon in the spring of 2022.

EVENT AND TICKET INFORMATION

This fundraising event is online this year via Zoom webinar. Tickets start at $25 and include one (1) Zoom link, which will be sent in a separate email closer to event date. Approximate running time is between 1 and 1.5 hours.

Our Silent Auction will also be virtual! Bidding starts on Friday, April 9 via the Handbid website/app. Please register here or download the app on your phone.

Books by Madeline Miller (Circe and Song of Achilles) can be purchased separately through Bookends, Ridgewood's local bookseller, at www.book-ends.com, and all books will include an Author Luncheon bookplate signed by Madeline. ABOUT THE AUTHORS

MADELINE MILLER Madeline grew up in New York City and Philadelphia. She attended Brown University, where she earned her BA and MA in Classics. She has taught and tutored Latin, Greek, and Shakespeare to high school students for over fifteen years. THE SONG OF ACHILLES, her first novel, was awarded the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a New York Times Bestseller. Her second novel, CIRCE, was an instant number 1 New York Times bestseller, and won the Indies Choice Best Adult Fiction of the Year Award and the Indies Choice Best Audiobook of the Year Award, as well as being shortlisted for the 2019 Women's Prize for Fiction. FRIENDS OF THE RIDGEWOOD LIBRARY is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to raise funds outside the library’s operating budget in order to provide cultural and educational programming and enhance its comprehensive collections.

Held annually since1990, the Author Luncheon is one of Friends' keystone fundraising events. Previous authors have included Min Jin Lee, Jamie Ford, Lisa See, Khaled Hosseini, Mary Higgins Clark, and many, many more.
