Auction includes an original, signed drawing by Mariano Rodriguez - known as Mariano. Born in Cuba in 1912, his work has exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, NY and the Museum of Art, San Francisco and the Museum of Modern Art, NY. Pareja, (Amantes), 1942. Ink on paper, 441 x 305 mm. 1996 Latin American Art, Sotheby's NY; 1999 Galeria Habana.

The live auction includes The Path Leading to the Center by Kenia Arguiñao Vega. Born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, her works have been exhibited at the Frost Art Museum (FIU), Coral Gables Museum and the Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM), and Havana Galerie, Zurich, Switzerland. Work is oil pastel, pencil on canvas, 53 x 53 (2018). Offered at $8,000, opening bid is $5,000.

The auction includes a HUMBERTO CALZADA SERIGRAPH: A Premonition of Peace . 30" x 40", Framed. Offered at $2200, Opening bid is $1600.

The auction includes works from Cuban contemporary artist Sandra Cordero. Offered at $1200, opening bid is $600 for each.

The auction includes the pieces Inteligente, Sensible & Universal from Cuban artist Jorge Wellesley. His work is part of the collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana; Casa Lamm in Mexico City, Mexico; and the National Council of Visual Arts in Havana. Watercoler on paper, 22.5 x 30. Each offered at $4,000, opening bid is $2000.

The auction includes several works by Cuban artist Douglas Arguelles. His work has been featured at PAMM, Péres Art Museum of Miami; Patricia and Philip Frost Museum, Miami; Amadis Gallery, Madrid, Spain; Museum of Contemporary Art in Algeria; and the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Portugal. Graphite on paper. Offered at $1500, opening bid at $750.

Auction includes a Victoria Montoro Zamorano archival print photograph, “Red Car.” Offered at $2400, Opening bid $1200.

The auction includes 2 sculptures (Reason and Love) from Jorge Wellesley. His work is part of the collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana; Casa Lamm in Mexico City, Mexico; and the National Council of Visual Arts in Havana. Each piece is offered at $6500, opening bids at $3250. Each is 5 3/4 x 7 x 7 inches.

Tha auction will include pieces by Cuban artist William Perez. His work has shown at the Havana Biennial and international venues such as Art Basel in Miami. Ink on paper; small drawing offered at $2,500 and opening bid at $1250. Large drawing offered at $3,000, with opening bid at $1500.

The auction will include four pieces from Cuban artist Joaquin Pomes Figueredo. Joaquín's intricate and thought-provoking pen and ink drawings address the myriad psychological and spiritual intricacies of his life in Cuba. Offered at $1500, opening bid is $750.

The live acution will feature a one-week stay at a waterfront house in Provincetown, MA. Available in June or September of 2020, date to be arranged by owner and the winning bidder. House has five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Living room and dinning area, large kitchen, tv room, three decks, 4 kayaks, parking for two cars,. Right on the bay. Prior owners rented it at $10,000 per week. Current owners don’t rent it out. Opening bid is $5,000.

The event will feature music by Kali Rodriguez-Pena Quartet featuring Gina D'Soto. "His bristling tone and bilingual fluency has commanded attention in New York.” – Wall Street Journal.

Caritas Cuba is the only independent, nonprofit organization in Cuba and provided critical services to over 44,000 vulnerable Cubans in 2018. Our work is focused on serving the most needy, including low-income seniors, children with disabilities, children with cancer or other illnesses, at-risk youth and victims of natural disasters.
