Friends of Byte is a monthly series featuring guest speakers in FinTech, Data Science and Entrepreneurial / Start-up backgrounds. This month’s series features Mr Jason Widjaja, Associate Director of Global Data Science Competency with MSD; as he demystifies Data Science and what it takes to be a Data Science MVP (Minimum Viable Professional).
What is Data Science?
There is a bewildering array of skills and tools for the prospective data scientist to pick up. Where should you start? What lies beyond the infamous data science Venn diagram? How do data science projects look like in real life? And what are sensible ways to cover all the ground without taking up a couple of advanced degrees? Jason will be exploring these questions in our talk and Q&A.
