Event Details

Esports and virtual reality are two of the fastest growing industries in tech. What is possible when they collide?

Join us on May 25th as we engage in a discussion on the intersection of these two fields. Speakers will provide an overview of the current state of Esports and VR and present a VR demonstration.

Talks will be followed by a viewing party of a live Overwatch League game, as we watch the local San Francisco Shock take on the Houston Outlaws! Free Shock gear will be available throughout the evening, and there will also be raffles to win exclusive merchandise from the team.

San Francisco Shock, one of the 12 esports franchises competing in the Overwatch League's inaugural season, is owned by NRG esports, a San Francisco-based esports organization competing in eight professional video game leagues known for their deeply engaged fan base. NRG was founded in 2015 by Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov, co-owners of the Sacramento Kings. NRG investors include Shaquille O’Neal, Alex Rodriguez, and Jennifer Lopez, alongside Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.

Friday Nights @CHM is offering you a whole new way to experience the Computer HIstory Museum. Open after hours, from 5 to 9 p.m., we’re hosting the techiest block party in Silicon Valley, featuring innovative cuisine from CateredToo and patio festivities at our Cloud Bistro beer garden.
