Event description

Description

The Summer Season of Friday Nights @ OMCA is back! That means the gardens are open for picnics, there is live music, the galleries are open until 10 pm, and Off the Grid food trucks will expand all the way onto Oak Street.

This is also the final week of the exhibit "Respect: Hip-Hop Style & Wisdom". The exhibition includes photographs, posters, objects, and artifacts illustrating hip-hop’s all-encompassing 50-year reign, along with distinctive works like a tapestry by New York-based portraitist Kehinde Wiley, who was recently commissioned to paint Barack Obama’s official presidential portrait.

The NorCal Hoyas have not only pre-purchased tickets to this awesome event but we've reserved a table and will provide light bites all with one inclusive ticket!

Parking is a flat $7.00 and the BART is located two blocks from the museum.

The NorCal Hoyas, and our East Bay Representative Princessa Bourelly, will host alumni at Koi Ponds 5 and 6 on Level 1 where tickets will be distributed for the exhibit and food will be hosted. We will send out contact information to registrants closer to the date (museum map here).
