The Friday Night Live Music Festival (FNL) team is proud to announce that we will host the 4th Annual Festival on Fridays, September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2016 from 7-10 p.m. at Hemming Park in Downtown Jacksonville. In its fourth year, this family-friendly event will include a music competition, a variety of street acts, dancing, live art, a silent auction, food trucks and more.

The FNL music competition seeks Jacksonville’s most talented bands, singers and musicians to join the fiercest competition in the city and battle it out for cash and cool prizes! From Jazz and Pop, to Hip-Hop and Country, ALL GENRES are welcome. This is a family-friendly event.

The competition offers musicians a platform to grow their fan base and an opportunity to connect with their community in new ways. Winners are selected by highest number of audience and judge votes.

The weekly winners of the first four Fridays will receive one (1) hour of free recording time with BRYCE Professional Studio Engineer as well as a live TV performance on River City Live. The winner of the 5th and final Friday (the Grand Finale) will win $1,000 cash.

Music lovers are encouraged to join the fun, enjoy live music and vote for their favorite bands.

COMPETITION DETAILS

•All demos will be reviewed and narrowed down to a shortlist of 12 finalists.

•There will be 5 weeks of competitions with 4 weekly prizewinners and one grand prize winner.

•Each week, 3 bands will play for 30 minutes each.

•Audience and Judge votes will decide winners based on various categories.

•Contestants must be available for the duration of the competition on the date selected in the application as well as the duration of the competition on the final Friday, Septembr 30, (if your act is a winner in the first round, you must compete again in the final week for the grand prize of $1,000).

•If you are selected to compete, sound and lighting will be provided on event nights. All other performance needs must be requested.
