Fresh Food in Schools Summit
March 8th, 2012
8:30 am to 5pm
The WA Sustainable Food & Farming Network, in collaboration with the WA State Department of Agriculture, are pleased to present a day long conference for farmers, school food service staff, parents, students and anyone interested in Farm to School. The Fresh Food in Schools Summit will offer workshops to help schools learn how to procure local food, help farmers sell to schools, help parents, students and community members learn how to support Farm to School efforts, and help food service staff with techniques that can save money while serving fresh local food. The summit will provide time to network and share stories, creating the connections that are vital to having a successful farm to school program.
