Fresh Botanical Jewelry

Saturday, May 11, 2019

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Instructor: Eileen Tongson

Just in time for Mother’s Day: let’s create some fresh botanical jewelry together! Eileen, of FarmGal Flowers, will teach you how to create floral cuffs, rings, and necklaces using a variety of long-lasting, locally grown flowers and succulents. Bring your mom or bring a friend! Or make two for mom and one for yourself. Your creation will truly be unique and special! We’ll box them up, add a bow and you’ll be ready for Mother’s Day. All levels welcome. All materials included but please bring floral snips.

Eileen Tongson is the owner of FarmGal Flowers (farmgalflowers.com), an urban flower farm and design studio. She is also one of the gardeners at East End Market where she grows flowers and helps maintain the market garden. In addition to growing her own flowers, Eileen designs with them and provides arrangements for special occasions and small events. Eileen completed the University of Florida IFAS Master Gardener Program and has studied floral design at numerous locations over the years including Floret Flower Farm, the City College of San Francisco, and the Floral Design Institute. She continues to expand and refine her skills regularly through floral design/flower farming workshops across the country and as a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers.
Eileen is a Gardening and Floral Design instructor at Harry P. Leu Gardens and East End Market. Her flowers and gardening expertise have been featured on Houzz.com, TravelChannel.com, The Monarch Initiative, Team Flower, and Glam.com. Collaborations have included The Ford Motor Company, Williams-Sonoma Winter Park, the Orlando Museum of Art, The Grove Winter Park, and Adjectives Market. She continues to expand and refine her skills regularly through floral design/flower farming workshops across the country and as a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers.
