French Wines 101
Wed, March 29, 2017, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM CDT
French Wines are all about place. France is not only the largest producer of wine in the world, most would say it is also the most prestigious. We will offer 4 reds and 4 whites from different grapes and regions of France. Through tasting and handouts, Rick Baumgarten, FWS Master of Bordeaux and The Rhone will help you learn the wines of France, the producing regions, and help you to navigate wine lists and labels. Often, the grape varietal does not even appear on the bottle. With PowerPoint® on screen and as a printed hand-out in a classroom setting, we will explore the wine producing regions of France and taste examples. We’ll learn not just the geography, but how to read the label and find the best values on a restaurant’s wine list.
Cheese with the wine?
But of course.
