French Quarter Walking Tour
Fri, June 30, 2017, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM CDT
The history of the French Quarter of New Orleans is one of the most complex and fascinating stories as Creoles of every background and hue struggled to maintain their identity and culture. Their galleried buildings with courtyards, carriageways and elaborate ironwork are testaments to the artistry and passion that consumed them. By the early 20th Century the entire neighborhood was threatened with demolition, prompting preservationists to step in and save one of the most important neighborhoods in the world! Tour with Randy and learn about the people, the history, the architecture and the culture of this amazing (and fragile) treasure.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time. This is a walking tour - wear comfortable shoes, a wide brimmed hat and it never hurts to bring an umbrella as the weather in New Orleans is changeable and unpredictable.
