Description

Fremont Solar Energy Workshop | Saturday, Oct. 5 | 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Irvington Community Center

Join us for this Solar Energy Workshop to learn about the basics of solar technology, the benefits of going solar, and how to access discounts for solar installations and zero emission vehicles through the Bay Area SunShares Program.

By attending the workshop, you will learn how to save money on your home utility bills, cut your gas costs, reduce your greenhouse gas footprint, and drive on clean energy!

Staff from the City of Fremont and East Bay Community Energy, Fremont's new electricity provider, will also be available to discuss climate action efforts and provide resources on how you can reduce your own environmental footprint.

Fremont Solar Tour | Saturday, Oct. 5 | 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Self-Guided Tour at Various Locations
Register here!

Immediately after the workshop, the City of Fremont and the Northern California Solar Energy Association will be hosting a self-guided Fremont Solar Tour from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is an opportunity to visit your neighbors who have installed solar and see their systems up close. You will hear about their experience and reasoning for going solar, connect with other residents who are interested in going solar, get your solar questions answered, and celebrate the power of solar energy!

The solar open houses will be located throughout Fremont. Visit the Solar Tour webpage for a list of homes and to register for the homes you would like to visit!

These events are co-hosted by the City of Fremont, Business Council on Climate Change, and the Northern California Solar Energy Association with support from East Bay Community Energy.
