Freeform Cuff Workshop with Melissa Muir

Would you like to improve your torch skills and have consistently good outcomes when soldering? Do you have the desire to improve your finishing skills?

Have you been struggling with making and setting bezels or tube set stones?

Or perhaps you just want to learn how to create beautiful bracelets with high quality finishes and a unique design and style? Hone your fabrication and torch control skills while making simple to complex pieces of jewelry. In this workshop we will work through common soldering mishaps and mistakes while creating a freeform cuff or other pieces of jewelry. We will also be working through creative bezel and tube setting techniques. Students should expect to finish at least one piece of jewelry, but may be able to finish more.

Included with you workshop is a ticket to the Friday evening Artist talk and Flexshaft Playground with Melissa Muir, April 28, 6-9pm

*Previous experience require - Students should have a basic understanding of jewelry making tools including wire forming with pliers. This is not a beginner class, you will need to have a basic understanding and experience with using a torch for soldering. Bezel setting and tube setting experience is not needed.

Materials Kit - $75 to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class. Includes - 14 ga sterling wire, Fine silver bezel wire, silver tube settings, sterling sheet, 1 oval cabochon, crystals for tube settings, copper wire.
