FREEDOM HOUSE 8TH ANNUAL GALA - Resilient Butterflies

Saturday, April 29, 2017 | Crowne Plaza Hotel, Foster City, California

Freedom House cordially invites you to attend its 8th Annual Gala, benefiting human-trafficking survivors in the San Francisco Bay Area. “Resilient Butterflies" is the 2017 Gala theme.

Registration check-in, a no-host social hour and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m. The gourmet dinner, with complimentary wine, will be served at 7:15 p.m. Cocktail attire is suggested.

During the evening, Jaida Im, Freedom House founder and executive director, will be sharing news about the residential shelter and aftercare programs: The Nest for adolescent girls in Santa Clara County and The Monarch for women in San Mateo County. A recent survivor-graduate of The Monarch program also will be sharing her personal journey from exploitation to independence.

When purchasing Gala tickets, individual ticket buyers and table sponsors will be asked to select a meal preference from among three delicious entrées:

Beef: New York Steak with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes and Mushrooms, with Red Wine Demi-Glaze;

Chicken: Chicken Florentine Caramelized Onions, Spinach, Boursin Cheese, and Mixed Wild Rice Pilaf with Marsala Wine Sauce;

Vegetarian: Toy Box Mushroom Risotto with Grilled Asparagus and Portobello Mushrooms

Table captains/hosts must furnish the names of each guest and accompanying dinner selections. Those who do not have guest names and meal preferences available when completing the EventBrite registration form will need to submit the information to Freedom House via email: FreedomHouseGala@gmail.com. THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT GUEST NAMES AND MEAL PREFERENCES IS APRIL 20, 2017. (The chicken entrée will be assigned whenever a meal preference is not specified before the deadline.)

If you prefer to purchase individual tickets or tables by mail, please send your check made payable to Freedom House at PO Box 2065, Burlingame, CA 94011. Guest names and meal selections must be submitted at time of purchase or by emailing the information to FreedomHouseGala@gmail.com before the April 20th deadline.

Each year, the Gala is the non-profit’s major fundraiser. We respectfully encourage table captains and hosts to invite guests who are mindful of our mission and would enjoy bidding on the silent and live auction items, donating during the “Fund-A-Need” portion of the program and joining Freedom House in its efforts to bring hope, restoration and a new life to local survivors of human trafficking. Proceeds raised during the Gala support both The Nest and The Monarch programs.
