You are cordially invited to the premiere screening of Freedom from Fibroids, a documentary film narrated by Atlanta's own iconic television broadcast journalist, Monica Pearson, and featuring Real Housewives of Atlanta star, actress Cynthia Bailey. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening is the "Hip Hop Doc," M.J. Collier, Jr., MD.
The film powerfully explores Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) -- a non-surgical, outpatient alternative to hysterectomy. UFE has a cure rate of nearly 90% and a shorter recovery time compared to surgery. Cynthia Bailey became a UFE advocate after suffering from Uterine Fibroids and coming to Dr. John Lipman for treatment.
This celebration is part of a larger national campaign, the Wear White Pants movement. For women who have suffered from severe fibroid-related symptoms, wearing white pants is more than just a fashion statement, it's a sign of empowerment.
The Freedom from Fibroids event kicks off with a light-fare reception, followed by the film screening and a Q & A session by Dr. Lipman. The night wraps up with the opportunity for autographs and photos with Cynthia Bailey. This event is for women only, and due to mature content, the screening is unsuitable for children.
Validated free parking will be provided at 250 Parkway Drive NE, Atlanta, GA (also known as Jackson Street). The 444 Theatre is a short walk from the parking venue, or shuttles will be provided from Parkway Drive (look for the signs for Freedom from Fibroids) to the theatre.
