A Virtual TC Squared Art Salon

About this event

TC Squared is pleased to present our latest Art Salon of 2021, a virtual showing of a play developed and produced in our Play Lab and Directors Lab.

Freedom Calls was written by Barbara Lewis and is directed by Donna Glick assisted by Katie Suchyta.

The play begins in 2017, engaging with America’s unending fratricidal war. The core of the drama involves three 19th century women: Mary Richards, canny, educated slave, a mole in the southern White House; her pro-North owner, Elizabeth van Lew; and novelist Harriet Beecher Stowe, scribe of southern slavery. The war’s angry, long shadow still haunts the nation into the present day.

Please join us and be part of this exciting process of fostering emerging artists and bringing new theatre to Boston and beyond!

Suggested donation: $5-$10
