Please join us for a screening of the film Libre – recently premiered at Sundance – and a discussion between the filmmaker, Anna Barsan, Alexandra Delano (Global Studies) and Miriam Ticktin (Anthropology) on the current state of migrant detention and the solidarity movements that fight for immigrant rights.

Undocumented immigrants forced to spend months in detention are turning to private companies to secure their release on bond. In exchange, immigrants pay exorbitant monthly fees for a GPS ankle monitor they can't remove.
