FREEBO is a genuine folk, rock & blues icon who, after over 40 years of recording & touring with many of the great artists of our time (Bonnie Raitt 10 years, CSN, Maria Muldaur, John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Neil Young, & many more) is regarded as one of the most gifted singer-songwriters of today. A multi award winner & finalist in numerous songwriting contests, Freebo was also recognized as the 'Best Folk Artist 2007' by the Los Angeles Music Awards. He has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Midnight Special, and in concert with the legendary Spinal Tap. Freebo’s compassionate concern for the world & people around him, as evidenced both in his lyrics and his open stage banter, has helped him connect with listeners worldwide. He will take an audience from insights about what kind of positive mark we hope to leave on the world upon our own passing with “Standing Ovation” to where you stand with your pets and your partner with "She Loves My Dog More Than Me." A musical evening with Freebo will be astute, insightful, clever, and truly melodic.

CATFISH HODGE OPENING

Catfish Hodge has been called an “American folk blues hero” and has been a mainstay on the American Blues music scene for decades! He has 24 albums to his credit, comprised almost totally of original material. Catfish grew up in Detroit, sneaking into Motown Records Hitsville studio to catch the Four Tops and the Supremes and grooving to R&B and Blues while his contemporaries gravitated to the Beatles. He made an album of children’s songs “Adventures at Catfish Pond”, which won the NAPA Golden Award as best children’s music of 1996. His 1998 release “Bare Necessities” finds him in a solo acoustic setting, with lowdown funky blues & soulful ballads. His 1999 release “Twenty Years” features performances from concerts & radio broadcast and includes the only version now available of “Boogie Man Gonna Git Ya”, as well as other rare gems. His 2002 release “Let’s Eat” is a best of collection of his best-known food songs of which there are many! In the late 1960’s he formed the Catfish Band and left Detroit to national prominence. In the 1970s Catfish became a regular opener for Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat. He formed the Chicken Legs Band in 1981 and was joined by Little Feat’s Paul Barrere, Richie Hayward, Kenny Gradney & Sam Clayton. Their final tour hit 21 cities and sold out every one. In the 1980s Catfish headed to California where he & Paul Barrere formed the Bluesbusters. They recorded 2 albums for Landslide Records and toured for many years, until Little Feat was reformed in the late 1980’s. In the 1990s Catfish founded the Hillbilly Funk Allstars with T Lavitz, Richie Hayward, Kenny Gradney & Vassar Clements. Now calling Chicago home, Catfish continues to play solo acoustic and gigs with his electric band, at festivals around the globe. After 35 years on the road he is still electrifying music fans with his powerful and spiritual style of original music! This is a rare opportunity to see him. http://www.catfishhodge.com/
