About this event
Enjoy a day of fishing with family, food, and prizes! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Zion Park District welcomes all ages and skill levels to attend this FREE family-friendly event.
During this fun day, prizes will be awarded to youth by age group while everyone enjoys the free food prepared by C&J Gourmet Sandwiches. Fishing poles and quick fishing lessons will be available for those in need, and ALL youth participants will have an opportunity to win raffle prizes and other giveaways. Attendees can also view a variety of animal hides and pelts at the Illinois Conservation Police's Wildlife Education Trailer.
Additionally, the Lake County Health Department will be on-site with free Covid-19 vaccines for those ages12+ years, and thanks to 7-Eleven Franchise Owner Saeed Rahman, free rapid Covid-19 rapid tests, hand sanitizers and masks will be available as well!
