Event description

Description

Research has shown that the use of visual systems enhance the likelihood of developing improvements in oral speech. Visual supports for children with autism are not meant to reduce communication and speech, but rather enhance communication and provide structure and organization into their daily routines.

This seminar is designed for families who have children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related disorders and are interested in various methods of visual supports. We will be going over visual schedules, token boards, visuals for following directions, and much more.

By the end of the seminar, families should feel confident in their ability to make various visual supports and implement these in the home and community.

This event is sponsored by Autism Learning Partners and SensAble kids.
