Event description

Description

Just in time for holiday gift giving, join us for a Make & Take workshop to learn how to build your own cutting board or cheese board.

In this beginner's class we will introduce and explore basic concepts and common tools for woodworking and home construction projects. We will discuss how to choose materials, design, measure, cut and finish so you can make your own cheese or cutting board. We will practice using the skill saw, jig saw and hand drill and look at glues and finishes as well.

This will be a safe and welcoming workshop for women, and appropriate for all levels of experience. Materials will be provided.

This is a free workshop, but donations towards our material costs are very much appreciated.
