Park/Area Featured: Cherokee Park, Lower Scenic Loop Road

Meeting Location: Meet in the triangle of grass across from Christensen Fountain, located near Rugby Field. Parking is available along the Scenic Loop across from Rugby Field or in the gravel parking lot close by.

Distance & Route: Approx. 1.5 miles—all on flat ground, mostly on Loop Road.

Duration: 90 minutes

Tour Description: Join Olmsted Parks Conservancy certified tour guide Denise Davis for the third in a series of walking tours in Cherokee Park. The park's infrastructure relies upon nine bridges and several types of walking paths and trails. On this tour, learn the unique history of four of Cherokee Park's bridges as you walk along Loop Road, before venturing onto paths that allow you to enjoy the park's natural beauty more intimately.

Tour Notes: Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and meet 10 minutes prior to tour start. Children accompanied by adults and leashed dogs are welcome! Tour meets rain or shine but may be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
