Event description

Description

As part of the European Social Fund project, Widening Participation Through Skills in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as a part of 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England the University of Exeter will run a range of workshops that have a focus on developing skills for people looking to return to education, giving practical advice and guidance.

This workshop looks at developing practical skills such as what skills you have and what you need to be a student and structuring academic learning. You will explore options and possibilities within Cornwall and find out about funded short course accredited opportunities. You will be able to speak with some of our mature students and explore the funding and finance side involved with higher level study. This workshop will equip you with the knowledge you need to return to education, in specific, the routes to Higher Level skills. This fully funded one day course includes a networking lunch where we have invited a range of organisations offering advice and guidance in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This FREE course is available to those who live in Cornwall and do not currently hold a level four (Degree's, BTEC professional diplomas, NVQs at Level 4 and Certificates of Higher Education) qualification and looking upskill.
