Event description

Description

Tim Martin and Sarah Pitt spent many decades making wildlife and countryside programmes for the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol. Now they are involved in practical projects that challenge mainstream farming practice and help individuals and communities to build biodiversity through habitat creation and ‘nature friendly’ land management.

Tim has set up ‘Farm Wilder’ and works with upland farmers in Dartmoor and North Devon to restore wildlife pastures for rare butterflies and endangered species such as cuckoos.

In North Somerset, Sarah works with The Community Farm to create abundant wildlife habitat alongside productive fields; a place where people and wildlife happily co-exist. These practices help restore soil, reduce pollution and begin to tackle climate change.

The Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Energy Group will be hosting the event at The Kensington Arms, Redland. Doors will open at 7 and the event itself will start at 7:30. This is a free event and all are welcome.
