Clifton Climate Action will be hosting a panel of experts on the proposed expansion to Bristol airport.

The Chair will be Professor John Adams, co-ordinator and film-maker of Stop Bristol Airport Expansion (SBAx). The speakers will be;

  • Tarisha Finnegan-Clarke, co-ordinator of BAAN (Bristol Airport Action Network) discussing the politics of the expansion and the tactics used by Bristol airport

  • Kieran Tait, aerospace engineering student providing insight into the science behind aviation emissions

  • Tanguy Tomes, an environmental consultant at Eunomia specialising in climate change mitigation and carbon accounting.

  • and Nikki Jones, Chair of Clifton Climate Action giving an overview of the aviation industry's current policies.

Find out more about the planned airport expansion and how it will affect Bristol and the surrounding area. This is your opportunity to consider what the true global and local impact of the expansion would be and ask the questions that are most important to you. Discover some of the truths Bristol Airport would prefer not be discussed publicly.

CCA will be hosting this event at Clifton Library. Doors will open at 7pm and the discussion itself will begin at 7:30 with plenty of time for questions from the audience. This is a free event and all are welcome.
