Event description

Description

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will offer free seminars to assist employers, community rehabilitation programs (CRPs) and other certificate holders in complying with section 214(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Guardians and family members of workers with disabilities are invited and encouraged to attend as well.

The compliance seminars will cover a range of topics including the certification process, performing prevailing wage determinations and conducting time studies. The seminars will also address impacts of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) which restricts the payment of a subminimum wage rate.

There is no fee to attend the seminars; however, space is limited. If you wish to attend, please follow the registration prompt.

  • Each attendee must register separately.

  • Please limit the number of attendees from the same employer to no more than three. If an employer wishes to send more than three individuals, please contact the event coordinator.

For questions about the event, please contact the event coordinator Jennifer Kihnley at Kihnley.Jennifer@dol.gov.

** ID required to enter building **
