Brentwood Community Safety Partnership and Essex Police are offering free Self-Defence classes to combat violence against women or girls.

Brentwood Community Safety Partnership and Essex Police are offering free Self-Defence classes to combat violence against women or girls. These sessions are not only aimed at prevention , but also are suitable for anyone who has been affected by an attack as a tool to regain confidence. These sessions will be 60 mins long, and can cover lots of different aspects, from situational awareness, escapes, de-escalation, pre-emptive & defensive strikes, defence against knives or improvised weapons as well as the law and use of reasonable force. These sessions can also be tailored to individual scenarios which any attendees would like specific advice and coaching on.

These lessons are for male and female, over the age of 18.

Any level of fitness or self-defence experience are welcome! Sessions are free to attend and will be held fortnightly from 20:30 - 21:30 at Long Ridings Primary School, Hutton, CM13 1DU
