Description

During Computer Science Education week, Code for fun, in partnership with Irvington Girls in STEM club and students of PTSA, is organizing a free screening of the documentary: The Computers, now premiering at the Seattle International Film Festival.

The documentary shares the inspirational story of the ENIAC Programmers and the significant role of women in computing since the very start.

Following the screening, influential professional women in Computer Science will share their experience via a panel discussion featuring:

  • Britanny Bir, COO of the school 42 USA

  • Monica Bajaj, Sr. Engineering Manager at NetApp

  • Praniti Lakhwara, VP of IT at Nimble Storage

This is a great opportunity to encourage all students – girls and boys – to pursue careers in STEM!

This is a free event organized with the collaboration of:

  • Code for fun, a non-profit organization teaching Computer Science to students K-12,
  • Irvington Girls in STEM club
  • Irvington Students of PTSA club
