CATCH CAP METRO | You can start your trip nearly anywhere with a Cap Metro Commuter Day Pass. Pecan Street Festival is taking place on Sixth Street -- between I-35 and Brazos -- which is well-connected to transit. Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 17, 19, 20, 30, 801, 803 and MetroRail -- running special service on Saturday AND Sunday that weekend -- will get you there!
None of the downtown routes directly serve your home? No problem. Start your trip at a Capital Metro Park & Ride and/or find a free parking spot along Capital Metro's High-Frequency Network (every 15 min, 7 days a week!) so you can save yourself the time, money and hassle of finding parking downtown.

PECAN STREET FESTIVAL | is one of Austin’s most beloved two-day arts festivals, held twice yearly in downtown Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District. Taking place the first Saturday & Sunday in May and the last Saturday & Sunday in September, the juried festival attracts hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums, from metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone to repurposed materials of all kinds. Activities include: musical performances, shopping, food vendors, a petting zoo, face-painting, street magicians and more. And the best part: there is no admission to attend!
TRANSIT ADVENTURES is a transportation demand management (TDM) program designed to increase transit ridership and reduce parking demand among participants. Capital Metro hosts the program to provide transit training in a risk-free, low-stakes environment for groups of 10 - 40 people and can organize a team-building trip for FREE for your office, neighborhood group, organization, church or school using our transit services.
