Event description
Professor Warren Milteer will be sharing the experiences of Free People of Color in the Carolinas during the 18th century.

About this event

In colonial America there was a small portion of the population known as Free People of Color. This population consisted of free blacks, indigenous people groups, and every mixture in between. Join us as Professor Milteer sheds light on a population of people that history texts usually keep to the shadows. Light refreshments to be served at the event, as well as a book signing by Professor Milteer.
