Quilters of all levels will gain confidence while having fun with free-motion quilting fun during this series of five Friday sessions of Free Motion Quilting Fun on Fridays. Each session will focus on a different aspect of free-motion quilting while building upon previous lessons:

8/1 - Free-Motion Quilting basics: Tips & Tricks for FMQing success, set up, and warm-up exercises

8/8 - Learn New Free Motion Filler Designs

8/15 - Learn More Free-Motion Filler Designs

8/22 - Making Small Variations for Even More Free-Motion Filler Designs

8/29 - Quilting Auditions, Tackling Big Quilts and Wrap Up

Each session will be held from 4-5 PM PDT/7-8 EDT (be sure to adjust for your time zone). The sessions will be recorded and made available for one-week access along with handouts and other resources for success. There will be time during and between sessions for participants to practice the techniques and ask questions.

Supply List:

Sewing machine equipped with free-motion quilting foot, extension table/support for your quilt sandwich, and size 90/14 topstitch needle
Multiple Quilt sandwiches made with low-loft batting such as Quilter's Dream
Good quality threads. I recommend any of these thread brands: Aurifil 50 or 40wt, Superior King Tut 40 wt, Isacord 40wt.
A roll of Blue Painter's Tape (preferably ~1" wide)
Thread snips and tweezers
2 plastic sheet protectors
Black, fine-tipped white board dry erase marker (ie. Expo brand, found in most office supply sections)
Optional: Sench Side Eye/Spiral Eye Self-threading needles for burying thread tails, Machingers Gloves (will help give you control and help you stay relaxed)

Important Information:

This workshop is geared towards quilters who are comfortable using their sewing machine.
This live, online workshop is open only to those who have registered and paid for the workshop. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you, be sure that all parties have registered and please let the instructor know of this arrangement in advance.
The Zoom link and handouts will be emailed to the address used to register 4-5 days before the workshop and again within 24 hours of the workshop.
This is a live class. Registered participants will have access to watch/rewatch each session's recording for 1 week. Participants are encouraged to take photos/screenshots of the demo for their own personal use.
