Description
Due to demand, we've decided to run this event for another month. This is an opportunity for 7th graders to experience the new SHSAT five months before the real thing. The results of these tests help parents and students create study plans that suit their schedule, needs, and resources.
About the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT)
The SHSAT is the sole criterion for admissions to 8 of NYC's 9 specialized high schools. The test is administered to 8th and 9th graders every October. A redesigned version of the SHSAT is set to debut this October.
In keeping with the guidelines of the new SHSAT (read them here):

no calculators needed
Our tests are scored as soon as students' 3 hours are up. Since test results will not be emailed nor delivered over the phone, we require at least one parent/guardian to present at the end of testing to receive test results and suggestions for improvement.
