Event description

Description

Do you have a kid that has never been hunting but wants to try? Are you a parent that wants to introduce them to hunting but just don't know how? This event is for you!

The Foundation for Outdoor Kids is offering a FREE mentored youth hunt this year for parents and their children age 10-18. In partnership with the Georgia Wildlife Federation, the Safari Club International and the Quality Deer Management Association, we are hosting up to twenty parent-child teams for a day of education, hands-on training and mentor-guided evening deer hunt at Broughton Plantation in Newborn, Georgia.

This amazing event will take place on Saturday, December 15th, 2018. A full team of instructors, mentors and experienced hunters will lead the parent and child through a day of firearm safety, shooting training, deer stand safety, range practice and more. The afternoon ends with an experienced mentor guiding each parent-child team on a real deer hunt. The event is FREE and available for kids interested in going on their very first hunt. We only ask that the child has never hunted, and the parent be willing to participate as well.

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity simply e-mail David Smith at Smitty@OutdoorKids.org and tell us about yourself and your future hunter.
