We always allow walk ups without a reservation! These reservations are essentially to avoid the line. If they are "sold out" or you are on the wait list, just come and get in the "no reservations" line.
IF YOU ARE LATE for the start of your reservation, we reserve the right to give away your spot and you may have to go to the back of the No Reservation line. We close promptly.
***We never charge. For anything.
The Downtown Boathouse is a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. If you'd like to volunteer, talk to us at the desk - no experience necessary! We're funded entirely by public donations and grants - you can drop cash into the donation box or use the QR code posted at the desk for cashless donations.

The Basics:
- Under 18 need a parent or legal guardian present
- Participants must know how to swim, but no kayaking experience is necessary!
- Babies who can independently hold their body/head up can go in the adult's lap. You do NOT have to reserve a separate ticket for lap babies but you DO have to sign a waiver for them on arrival.
- Masks required while interacting with our volunteers if you are not vaccinated, optional if you are fully vaccinated. We can be face to face with hundreds of people in a day so please respect our volunteers' social distancing wishes.
