Event description

Description

Is your company dealing with immigration issues in-house? You might be surprised at the legal risks this might expose your company to.

If you do have counsel, are they keeping you informed about changes in immigration that might affect you?

This is one of the topics to be raised at a free executive luncheon seminar to be held at Pace Law Firm. Apart from the challenge of keeping up with changing immigration law, the recent advent of employer compliance audits has made 'doing-it-in-house' dangerous. Retaining legal advice that specializes in immigration can help you, as an employer, minimize your exposure to penalties for failing to comply with changing legal requirements and reduce the stress associated with surprise audits.

This is just one of three current themes in immigration law that will be addressed in the executive luncheon seminar. In addition to employer compliance, you will learn details of the newly announced federal temporary worker program, as well as the best options for transferring employees to Canada or the United States in the course of day-to-day affairs, and in instances of corporate reorganizations.

The seminar will be led by Andy J. Semotiuk, our Director of Immigration, who is a Canadian and U.S. Immigration lawyer. Mr. Semotiuk has helped over 10,000 clients with legal problems. He will also introduce other members of our immigration team who will help answer any questions you may have. We invite you to join us.

Please RSVP to indicate any special dietary restrictions to Philip Sochan at psochan@pacelawfirm.com or call him at 416-236-3060 ext 382.
