Free Film Workshop over the School Holidays in January

About this Event

Make your own short-film with Why Documentaries and the Multicultural Communities Council (MCCI) in this four day workshop over the School Holidays in January 2020. The participants will interview and film celebrities, share their own story and edit three U & Me short films which celebrate friendships across cultures.

The workshop is for young people aged 15-25 from immigrant and refugee backgrounds.Register online or phone MCCI on 4229 7566 or email admin@mcci.org.au.

PROGRAM

Monday 20 January: Scriptwriting, drama and interviewing

Tuesday 21 January: Camera, sound and lighting

Wednesday 22 January: Interview celebrities

Thursday 23 January: Edit and watch your film

Friday 24 January: Edit and watch your film

*Morning tea & lunch provided

This project is funded by the Department of Home Affairs Fostering Integration Grants program. The grants support new initiatives by not-for-profit organisations that will help migrants better integrate into Australian life through employment and community participation.
