Join us to hear about what's new in Lupus Treatment.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Cianna Leatherwood will discuss updates in lupus treatments. Dr. Leatherwood is a rheumatologist in practice at Kaiser Richmond and Oakland. She attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where she also completed her internal medicine residency. She attended Brigham and Women’s Hospital for rheumatology fellowship where she participated in research investigating prognostic factors in lupus nephritis and lupus biomarkers. She also has a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.

​Following the presentations, a panel of patients discussed their experiences with different lupus treatments and drugs.

ABOUT THE MINI-CONFERENCES

Each year, the Lupus Foundation of Northern California holds two regional lupus mini-conferences for patients and their families, as well as medical providers. The all-day program features physician speakers and noted researchers specializing in autoimmune and related diseases, followed by a patient panel discussion. The program focuses on the latest updates on lupus, diagnosis & treatments as well as progress of ongoing clinical trials. Offered both in english and spanish throughout the year.
