This workshop will equip rural PEI non-profits to identify and dismantle barriers that keep marginalized people (e.g., newcomers, Indigenous and Acadian communities, Black communities, 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, people with disabilities, low-income seniors, and youth) from accessing programs, services, and leadership opportunities.

~ About Daniel ~

Inclusive organizations are the future, and the most successful ones will be those that invest in their people and align strategy with purpose, people, and culture in mind.

Daniel works at the intersection of workforce development, social impact, and systems change, supporting organizations to operate inclusively and lead with empathy, equity, and integrity. Through his work with WorkSource Alliance and beyond, he's helped build inclusive talent pipelines and retention strategies for organizations, scaled mission-driven programs and partnerships, and secured strategic funding to drive long-term impact.

He specializes in systems change and design thinking, reimagining how organizations attract, support, and retain diverse talent, while optimizing operations to support growth and sustainability. For him, it's not just about solving problems; it’s about designing better futures, where people feel valued, and purpose drives performance.

In 2020, he was named one of Atlantic Canada’s “30 Under 30” innovators by Atlantic Business Magazine, recognized as a “Bridge Builder” for his contributions to inclusive leadership. He's received the “Outstanding Individual” award from the PEI Newcomers Association, the Community Organizer Award from Faces of Fusion Charlottetown, and the Resource Abilities Appreciation Award for his commitment to equity and disability inclusion. Most recently, he was named one of PEI’s Black Changemakers for his ongoing efforts to inspire, give back, and help shape the future of Atlantic Canada.
