Description

FREE evidence-based workshops on supporting breastfeeding families for Montgomery County physicians and health care providers.

Register for both Part 1 and a Part 2 workshop that best fits your work/professional situation.

Workshops are best taken in order, but you may take any workshop at any time, in any order, and more than once.

  • FREE BOOK for everyone who attends a Part 1 AND any Part 2 workshop.
  • FREE pre-loaded flash drive with resources for all participants, including a directory of local breastfeeding support services in Montgomery and surrounding counties.
    • Continuing medical education (CME) credits for physicians will be applied for.
    • Conveniently held in Kettering’s Research Park, each course is offered in a single evening from

6pm to 9:15 pm. Parking is free and convenient. WSU offers free guest internet. Healthy snacks will be offered at no cost.

PART 1: Principles of Breastfeeding Management: For everyone who interacts with pregnant or breastfeeding patients.Objective: Explain principles of breastfeeding management that prevent or solve common breastfeeding issues. Register forSept. 14. (new)

Part 2 for Physician and Prescribers (CME offered), with physician faculty: Sept 18.

Part 2 for Pediatric office staff, well-baby and postpartum care providers: Sept 20. (new)

Part 2 for Obstetric office staff and prenatal care providers: Sept 28. (new)

Part 2 for Home visitors, community health workers and those focused on breastfeeding family issues: September 13.

FAQs

Can I take all Part 2 sessions?

Yes. You can take any or all of the sessions, in any order. It will be helpful to take Part 1 first.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, all professionals who interact with pregnant women or new mothers are invited. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, community health workers, home visitors, etc.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking

What can I bring into the event?

Healthy and hearty snacks and drinks will be provided free. Food and beverages can be brought in.
