Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sing has been on the New York Times Bestseller list since September, 2018!  Roswell is one of only nine venues on this bestselling author's Fall Tour. At once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder, Delia Owens' debut novel reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.

A native of Georgia, Delia Owens has co-authored three internationally bestselling nonfiction books about her life as a wildlife scientist in Africa, including Cry of the Kalahari and Secrets of the Savanna. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of California in Davis.  She has won the John Burroughs Medal for Nature Writing and has been published in Nature, the African Journal of Ecology, and International Wildlife, among many others.
