Description

Verbal Behavior and Assessment

presented by Ariela Fuchs Harris, MsEd

The presentation draws largely on the work Verbal Behavior by B.F. Skinner, a psychologist who invented the method of teaching a language by drawing parallels between words and their functions. It means that a non-verbal child should not just learn a new word, but also learn how to apply it practically in his daily life.

Ariela Fuchs supports Skinner's theory with her hands-on experience as an ABA Therapist and a student pursuing Post-Master's Degree in Board Certified Behavior Analyst Program (BCBA).

The goal of this presentation is to provide parents, caregivers and professionals with practical knowledge of how to teach an autistic child language and other vital skills using verbal behavior therapy.

Learn how behavioral management techniques can help in the classroom!
