Attention New Yorkers! If you’re interested in gaining the training and tools to equip you to analyze current events, and see how they may be influenced by economics and politics, the Henry George School is pleased to announce our new 8-course Certificate Program in Political Economy.
The Henry George School is one of the few (and among the oldest) educational institutions in New York authorized to grant these certificates. We’ve been doing so since 1932. The courses and certificate are free.
Our newest program consists of 40 hours of classroom lectures:
1. Principles of Political Economy
2. The Political Economy of Social Problems
3. The New Economics of the Business Cycle
4. Globalization and International Trade
5. History of Economics and Economic Thought
6. Money and Banking
8. Development Economics
The program is strongly influenced by the ideas of Henry George. However, it incorporates teachings from all streams of economic thought in order to achieve a balanced view of contemporary economics.
