Event description

Description

A unique experience retelling the story of Frankenstein and exploring his world through a series of extraordinary objects.

Frankenstein is an intimate audio and "hands-on" experience that takes you on a journey through the life and memories of Victor Frankenstein and allows you to explore his world through a series of extraordinary objects. These beautiful, delicate and antique objects tell Frankenstein’s story from a different perspective. You become the scholar poring over the “Frankenstein Family Archive.”

Created by Pure Expression, Frankenstein is played by the outstanding voice artist, Paul McLaughlin, and the soundtrack was created by the award-winning musician Taz Modi.

The 30 minute show is experienced by one or two people at a time. It is a timed, ticketed event.

The Free Library of Philadelphia is fortunate to be among the few select library systems in the United States to host this event direct from London, England.

Video created of this show at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London: https://vimeo.com/276394253

Quotes from the audience at the National Library of Great Britain:

"It was amazing. I felt as if I was in a completely different world."

"I was fully immersed in the story and deeply moved by the plight of the creature."
