Here in the greatest sports city in the world, a tight knit community has formed around sports talk radio, and specifically the man affectionately known as The Sports Pope, drive time host Mike Francesa.
He can be our therapist, our reality check, our friend, our circus ringleader, and most importantly, the man we need to hear from Monday thru Friday, 1 to 6:30. Radio land can be a lonely place, however, with no one to talk to when Mike deals with a prank call as only he can, or when he gives one of his legendary lectures on Joba Chamberlain or the JFK assassination.
Thanks to wonderful twitter accounts such as @MikeFrancesaNY and @WFANAudio, as well as the now famous Mike Zaun videos from @BizarroZaun, that gap between us and The Sports Pope is shrinking. Now, on Super Bowl Eve, we've decided to cross the threshold and celebrate our shared love for all things New York sports with FrancesaCon.
This daylong bar-hopping event will allow you to put faces to the names of the people you've interacted with on Twitter or the callers (from the knowledgable to the mongo) you've been entertained by from afar for years. Feel free to come and relax, mix a Diet Coke with the spirit of your choice, and live amongst the New York Sports Community as you never have before.
It may not be a papal audience with The Sports Pope himself, but for one special day in New York City just hours before the kickoff of its very first Super Bowl, it will be a day you'll never forget.
IF YOU PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN FRANCESACON, ALL WE ASK YOU DO IS TO PLEASE RESERVE A TICKET AND PRESENT IT* AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE (LOCATION BELOW).
AFTER SHOWING YOUR TICKET, YOU WILL RECEIVE A BRACELET FOR DRINK SPECIALS ALL DAY. UHKAY.
Registration: SALOON NYC, 1584 YORK AVENUE, NEW YORK, NY
MORE INFORMATION STILL TO COME. BACK AFTUH DIS.
*-We suggest printing a paper ticket, we expect some special guests and this could make for a good autograph piece.

We have a vision for a company that puts on specialty charity events that stray from the cut-and-dry dinner+silent auctions that I'm sure you know very well. We want to breathe life into charity/non-profit events with the intention of raising as much money as humanly possible.
