Description

Presented by IFF

Facilities can be a burden or constraining if they are poorly maintained and owners lack the resources to make the necessary repairs or grow. Many early care and education providers are currently leasing spaces from local school districts, churches and storefront owners. As a tenant, without proper planning and due diligence including assessing the conditions of the building, understanding the landlord's financial capacity and structuring a tenant-friendly lease, the facility becomes a burden not an asset. This workshop is designed to help early child care providers plan for growth or expansion and manage their long-term facility needs. Participants will learn how to evaluate current demand for services, assess longterm viability of existing locations, negotiate and execute tenant-friendly leases, explore owndership options and fund facility projects.

This workshop is ideal for executive directors, operations managers, board members of early childhood education providers and other senior staff.
