Event description

Description

Join Congressman Don Beyer for his fourth annual Women's Conference and Forum at George Mason University's Arlington campus.

2018 is shaping up to be America's Year of the Woman. Virginia, famous for the Founding Fathers, leads in this breakthrough moment. From a reinvigorated effort to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, to a record number of women running for and winning elected office at every level, Virginia women are working for change. Come be a part of what Virginia is famous for: making good on the promise of democracy to be responsive to the people – all the people, both men and women.

This year's conference will feature Delegate Danica Roem, artist and organizer Carla Dirlikov Canales, and gun violence prevention activist Naomi Wadler, along with a panel discussion on the Equal Rights Amendment and interactive breakout sessions between community and advocacy leaders.
