About this event

Fourth Fridays at Bayview is a free gathering for members of Northern Neck Land Conservancy. In order to carefully manage impact to the land, and to help ensure a terrific guest experience, we limit the number attending to 30.

Bayview is Northern Neck Land Conservancy's "ambassador property" in Northumberland County. It is a 220- acre Indigenous landscape bordered on two sides by water. Monthly Fourth Friday afternoon gatherings will give Land Conservancy members a chance to explore this beautiful location and learn about the importance of community conservation.

Frequently asked questions

Are restrooms available?

We have a portapotty on site with hand sanitizer. Please note that there is no running water or electricity.

What should I wear?

Bayview is very rustic, please wear clothes and boots that you don't mind getting muddy. This event is rain or shine, so bring a raincoat and umbrella just in case.

Is food provided?

We will have light snacks and water available. Please bring a reusable water bottle and a meal if desired.

Where do I park?

Currently, we ask guests to park along Ball Lane and walk into the property, the walk is approximately 1/2 a mile. If you bring a kayak, you can drive it into the property before parking.

Is there water access?

You are welcome to bring your own canoe or kayak and paddle at your own risk; you must sign a liability waiver and bring a personal flotation device. There is no kayak launch currently, so creek access is from the shore and may be a bit muddy.
