Description

Join the Adroit Theory Crew as we celebrate our four year anniversary of being open for business. 2017 was an EPIC year for us, and we are excited about the growth potential in 2018. Guest Tap List (no growler fills):

Burial Brewing: Asheville, North Carolina
We love Burial Beer and the collaboration we did "Thumbscrews". A must visit when going to Asheville, NC.

Ulfbehrt Baltic Porter (7.8% ABV, 40 IBU) Between these jagged edges lays the storied steel wielded by mortals to please the gods of war and death. Forged from German and British malts, fermented upon juniper berries and traditionally lagered, our Baltic Porter is made with respect for those that came before it. The result is a mildly spiced but highly aromatic black lager with an ever-present aroma of chocolate, licorice, and roasted nuts. Fear not the presence of the blade, for today's prize knows no wrath.

Machete Mixed Culture Farmhouse Ale (6% ABV, 15 IBU) This ever-evolving house saison at the Burial taproom has found a final formulation. Now made by blending old oak-aged saison with bright young saison, this ode to rusticity exudes peppery spice, citric and grassy aromas, while a vivid acidity provides the palate-cleansing finish.

Cushwa: Williamsport, Maryland
Our good friends to the north have cranked out some really nice beers in the 1-year they have been open. We just brewed two collaboration brews (see below) plus they are bringing two session beers.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Imperial Stout (10% ABV, 40 IBU) A collaboration between Adroit Theory and our friends at Cushwa. Yes, we brewed beer and then "dry-hopped" the beer on Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Yes, it is delicious as it sounds.

NE Style DIPA (8.2% ABV, 35 IBU) Another collaboration between Adroit Theory and our friends at Cushwa. This juicy IPA is brewed with Simcoe, Waimea, Vic Secret, and Mosaic.

Cushwa Classic Pilsner (5.5% ABV, 35 IBU) A lightly dry hopped, easy to drink German style pilsner. Very balanced flavor profile that is dry on the finish.

The People's Champagne Berliner Weiss (3.1% ABV, 4 IBU) A traditional German sour beer. It has a nice lactic tartness that is married to a doughy, slightly grainy flavor. An easy drinker that is light and refreshing on a hot day.

Council Brewing: San Diego, California
Council is pumping out some awesome clean and wild beers. After our collaboration "Liminal Spaces" we are excited to see what they send us.

Liminal Spaces Barrel Aged Bier de Garde (9.5% ABV, 45 IBU) Sweet Malt Aromas with a Tropical Element, Hint of Funk, Belgian Style Esters, Dry Finish.

DuClaw Brewing: Baltimore, Maryland
After the success our collaboration Quad, you know we are bringing in something special from them.

Oude Rode Ogen Belgian Quad (13% ABV, 20 IBU) Our collaboration Quad is a monster.

Divine Retribution - Part 4 - Barrel Aged Cuvee (11% ABV, 74 IBU) A Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels and then RIS blended with all four of our Wines (Oat Wine, Rye Wine, Barley Wine, and Wheat Wine)

Mockery Brewing: Denver, Colorado
We did a collaboration Heart of a Hellraiser earlier this year, and they are making some BANGING beers. Seek them out if you are in Denver, Co.

Sour Grapes Mixed culture Sour Ale (9.8% ABV, 5 IBU) Sour Golden Ale with Muscat Grapes.

The Golden Child Golden Porter (6.2% ABV, 20 IBU) Blonde Porter with Coffee.

Whiskey Barrel Aged Coconut Porter (10.6% ABV, 20 IBU) Big and boozy porter aged in Whiskey Barrels with coconut.

Oaked Southern Hemisphere Black IPA (6.8% ABV, 35 IBU) Malt from Chile? Aussie and Kiwi Hops? Wood? Yep we went there.

Rock the F*ck on Forever Double IPA (7% ABV, 60 IBU) Big, American IPA.

Reubens Brew: Seattle, Washington
If Reubens is not on your radar, fix that ASAP! They have won a ton of medals at GABF and World Cup, and are up and coming. We met at SAVOR last year, and they were serving the only beers we went back to taste more than once. We are brewing a beer together this coming May.

Triumvirate IPA (6% ABV, 50 IBU) A 2017 GABF Gold Medal winner. Brewed to be the house beer for Brouwer's Cafe, Bottleworks, and the Burgundian, this lighter-bodied IPA lets the hops shine through brightly. Strong tropical fruit and citrus notes, in particular passion fruit and grapefruit, are wrapped up with a crsip refreshing finish.

Gose (4.3% ABV, 6 IBU) A 2015 and 2016 GABF Gold Medal winner. Gose is a traditional german sour ale, once almost extinct, this beer is brewd with lactobacillus, salt and coriander to make a refreshingly crisp brew with lemon notes and vibrant salinity.

Razzmatazz Raspberry Berliner Weisse (3.2% ABV, 3 IBU) Raspberry Berlinerweiss, slightly tart and juicy.

Bits and Bobs IPA (4.9% ABV, 55 IBU) This refreshingly drinkable beer has a lower ABV, but still packs plenty of hop punch. Originally brewed as the official beer of the 2016 Seattle Beer Week, the Daily Pale is is an IPA you can enjoy everyday.

Breakfast Stout Imperial Stout with Coffee (8.4% ABV, 30 IBU) An Imperial Stout with Oats, Lactose, and Coffee. Decadent and rich, this brew exudes malt driven notes of chocolate and roast, a slight fruitiness from the coffee and yeast, and a smooth mouthfeel. Contains: Milk (Lactose).

Pilsner (5.4% ABV, 35 IBU) Our Czech style Pilsner is a clean, bright lager with bready malt notes and floral with a firm bitterness.

Wolfsburg Dopplebock (5.4% ABV, 35 IBU) Our Czech style Pilsner is a clean, bright lager with bready malt notes and floral with a firm bitterness.

Bourbon Barrel Auld Herritage Old Ale (10% ABV, 59 IBU) An Old Ale with notes of Dried Fruit & Caramel aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels.

Reaver Beach Brewing: Virginia Beach, Virginia
You may recall The Death of Cthulhu was originally a collaboritive brew with our friends from the beach. They have been kind enough to send up some of the Wild & Sour offerings.

On The Account (7.2% ABV, 8 IBU) Madeira Barrel Aged Sour Red.

Doors of Stone (7.5% ABV, 11 IBU) Amphora fermented Sour Brown.

Bring Out Your Dead (7.4% ABV, 8 IBU) Barrel fermented wild brewed with summer squash and aged in oak with grapefruit zest.

Old Bust Head: Vint Hill, Virginia
Our favorite place to brew outside of Adroit, they are hooking us up with their most sought after beers.

TBD (X% ABV, X IBU) tbd

Three Notch'd Brewing: Charlottesville, VA
The birth place of our Bloody Roots beer as well as many other collaborations. Dave Warrwick has hooked us up with a rare offering.
