Taverna is thrilled to be featuring New York State's Southern Tier Brewing Company at our intimate chef's table.



Taverna's Chef / Owner Lou Iakovidis has designed a four course menu featuring locally grown produce and ingredients from Adirondack farms to compliment the unique flavors of Southern Tier Brewing Company's hand-crafted beers.


THE MENU

1st Course – Antipasto Plate of Prosciutto, Artichokes, Roasted Red Peppers, Shaved Parmesean Cheese with a Saratoga Olive Oil Co. Extra Virgin Olive Oil Drizzle

2nd Course –

Farmed Mixed Green Salad with Fried Locally-Made Barkeater Buche Goat Cheese, Toasted Pine Nuts, Red Onions and a Balsamic Dressing

ABOUT THE SOUTHERN TIER BREWING COMPANY

Founders Phineas DeMink and Allen “Skip” Yahn started the Southern Tier Brewing Company with the vision of reviving the practice of small-batch brewing to a region rich in brewing tradition. In 2002, with equipment gained from the purchase of the Old Saddleback Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the Southern Tier Brewing Company began production in the woods just outside of Lakewood, New York. By 2003, select varieties of small batch ales were locally distributed, and by 2005, sales to a rapidly growing base of fans covered the majority of New York State and Pennsylvania. The brewery produced Pilsner, Mild Ale, and India Pale Ale before adding a successful roster of seasonal beers to the portfolio.

Southern Tier immediately garnered regional attention and demand quickly outgrew what our modest facility could handle. In 2009 a new 20,000-sq-ft building was added to the property. In this new facility, the small brewery was able to grow and offer the product both nationally and internationally, while still satisfying its loyal local fans.


ABOUT TAVERNA

Our goal at Taverna is to bring traditionally inspired, modern Mediterranean food to our guests and to support our local economy. We do our best to source ingredients from regional farmers and purveyors, and compliment them with carefully curated imports. It helps us to realize our vision of creating beautiful Mediterranean flavors, showcases the most vibrant foods, and gives our guests the truest Adirondack dining experience.


Doors open at 7PM. Dinner service begins promptly at 7:30PM. Capacity is limited. Price includes gratuity.
