Founders Drinks, co-organized by e27 and HUBBA Coworking Spaces, is a monthly evening event series held in Singapore and across Southeast Asia cities. The focus of this event series is to inspire, engage and connect technology startup communities across Southeast Asia. Each particular session and locale will experience a night of sharing and networking with leading movers and shakers of the tech startup industry.
Our theme this time is simple: There is a lot of hype in Thai startups and most issues revolve around the disbelief that some startups in Thailand can make money or not after raising big rounds and high valuations. Founders Drinks BKK this time will tackle this myth heads on with real case studies on how to make Thai startups profitable. Our event speakers will share their experiences in user acquisition & getting traction, growth hacking and monetization of startups that are crucial components in attracting angel and VC fundings, as well as turning a startup into a sustainable long-term business.

Jakob is originally from Denmark and is a loves Asia. He has extensive business experience travelling around Asia before settling down in Bangkok.
While working for SPAMfighter as OEM Manager and studying at the business university in Copenhagen, he decided to stop school and move to Thailand instead to start his own business. While in Thailand, he co-founded Pagemodo.com which provides online Facebook marketing tools and helps any company promote themselves and their products on Facebook. Pagemodo was acquired by Webs Inc. in 2011.
Today, Jakob is an investor at Pocket PlayLab, a company that creates games and applications for Facebook and mobile devices. Their latest title, Lost Cubes, was played more than a million levels in the first 24 hours (now more than 20 million levels played) as well as reaching the top 4th in the family category and top 5th among puzzle games in the US App store in the same amount of time.
Senior Vice President, Head of Products Division of DTAC
Krating is a serial technology entrepreneur and technology designer. Currently, a Senior Vice President, Head of Products Division of DTAC, the second largest telecommunications operator in Thailand, he leads a product division to manage the entire product/service portfolios, notably DTAC Accelerate campaign and Wizard of Apps competition. Prior to joining DTAC, he was a Global Lead Marketing Manager of Google Earth/Moon/Mars at Google headquarters in Silicon Valley. He left Google, raised 1.1 million USD from angel investor to start his own company in Silicon Valley.
His company created several award winning iPhone apps such as Heaven’s Diner, a location-based social game which won top ten most innovative iPhone app in the world in 2010. And Quipster, a location-based social network which was ranked in top 12 in the US app Store in July 2011 and was also selected as a finalist in location-based and beyon Summit in 2011. Krating Poonpol graduated from Stanford Business School in 2007 and is also the Dean & Founder of Disrupt University, a hybrid between Startup Accelerator and Virtual University with the goal of bridging Silicon Valley and Thailand by providing cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and methodology of innovation and startup from Silicon Valley to the next generation Thai entrepreneurs and innovators.

After DDproperty.com was acquired and joined PropertyGuru group from Singapore, he was responsible for building up DDproperty.com team, hitting revenue targets for Thailand business and manage product design and platform integration. From two persons team when they started in 2007, DDproperty.com had grown to 30+ persons strong team and it is the #1 property portal website in Thailand with more than 1.8M visits and 10M page views per month.
